The Indian car market shows a number of launches every year. In 2018 the market has already seen few exciting launches in the form Honda Jazz, BMW X4, Audi Q5 etc. There are many exciting launches line up in the market like:
1) Tata Harrier
Tata Harrier SUV will be based on the H5X concept. It is a 5 seater SUV that is expected to be launch in April 2019 at a price range of Rs 12 to 18 lakh. It is based on Tata Motor’s new OMEGA(optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced ). It will be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out a maximum of 170 Bhp and 350 Nm in the Jeep Compass. The rivals of Tata Harrier are Hyundai, Creta, Renault Duster and Jeep Compass.
2) Honda civic
The Honda civic Expected to be launched in 2019, the is offered with a good number of engine options in the Global market. In India, however, it is powered with 1.8-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel engine. The new Civic has been built on an entirely new platform. It looks like a baby Accord unlike the distinct styling of the previous generation cars. The rivals of this are the Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla Altis and the Volkswagen Jetta in the country.
3) Hyundai Santro
The Santro is returning to India and will be launched by the festive season. It will be based on the same i10 platform, powered by a 1.1 litre 3 cylinder petrol engine. It will get automatic transmission along with the manual transmission. The rivals of Santro are Renault Kwid and Tata Tiago.
4) Tata Tiago JTP
Tata’s most affordable hot hatchback will be launched soon at a price tag of around Rs 6 Lakhs. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that will churn out of a maximum of 108 Bhp and 150Nm. The car will get a new front bumper and rear bumper inserts that will give it an aggressive look and differentiate it from Tata Tiago. It car will not only get a 5-speed closed manual transmission. The car will undercut the current most affordable hot hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
5) Mahindra S201
Mahindra is expected to launch Mahindra S201 by the end of 2018. It will be powered by the turbocharged version of KUV 100 i.e. 1.2 litre 3-cylinder petrol engine along with a 1.5-litre diesel. The price would fall in the range of Rs 7 lakh-Rs 10 Lakh. There will be no AWD option available with this car. The rivals of this are Brezza, Eco Sport, and Nexon.
