Mini has launched all their new countryman SUV in India. The model matches up with the small luxury SUV in the market such as the Mercedes Benz GLA, the Audi Q3 and the BMW X1 and is priced nearly at par with them at Rs 34.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
It is available in 3 variant colours – the Cooper S is available at Rs. 34.90 lakhs, the Cooper SD at RS.37.40 lakhs and sporty cooper SJCW inspired at Rs. 41.40 lakhs. Mini latest model is now more practical, comfortable and luxurious. It has got an aggressive bumper and Chunky cladding around it wheel arches that lend the model a brawny look.
The new Countryman is available in both diesel and petrol engine options. The petrol engine powers the Cooper S and cooper SJCW inspired is a 2-litre turn power. Turbo unit putting out 192 hp and 280 nm of torque. The diesel, which powers the Cooper SD, is a 2.0-litre motor with an output of 190hp and a torque rating of 400Nm.
The new countryman consists of iDrive infotainment system with a touchscreen. A lot of equipment has been given in the optional extra’s. The sportier-looking SJCW variants get 17 inches, and additional equipment such as a rearview camera, a sporty steering wheel, a Harmon Kardon system and stainless steel pedal covers. The brand is aiming huge success with their series of countryman SUV collection.
